A professional foundation
Know what you are cleaning before you start
A machine is only part of the job. The carpet fibre, construction, soil and previous treatments all affect how you clean it. The course connects those decisions to equipment, chemistry, stain treatment and a complete cleaning sequence.
It also covers the conversations that matter: recording existing damage, setting realistic expectations, pricing the work and giving useful aftercare advice.
Online knowledge and practical experience
This is a written online course with illustrations and a knowledge assessment. It is not a video course or a hands-on equipment assessment.
Use it alongside equipment training and supervised practice. A certificate records course completion; it does not by itself demonstrate practical competence or qualify you for every carpet, rug or restoration job.

Recognising common fibres and using that information to guide chemical selection, moisture and cleaning technique.

Tufted and woven carpets, pile styles, backing and underlay, and the risks that construction introduces.
Cleaning Chemistry

Risk assessment, PPE, chemical handling and controls that protect the operator, occupants and property.
Equipment Training

Check your knowledge
The final assessment contains 40 multiple-choice questions covering the nine teaching modules. The pass mark is 32 out of 40, or 80%. Enter your name and email before starting.
The assessment is marked on the page. It is a knowledge check, not observation of your practical work.
Your completion certificate
Passing the assessment provides access to your CCMTec Academy certificate of completion. It can support your continuing professional development records.
It is not third-party accreditation, a regulated qualification or a licence to practise.

Is this suitable for a beginner?
Yes. It is a professional foundation covering the decisions and process behind carpet cleaning. Allow time for practical equipment training and supervised work as well as studying the material.
Is there a video course included?
No. This is written online training with illustrations and an assessment. Video training is not part of this purchase.
Can I take hands-on training as well?
Yes. CCMTec offers separate classroom training. See the training courses collection for available options. Classroom training is not included in the £95 online-course price.
