Prerequisites: This course is designed for carpet cleaning professionals with a minimum of 12 months active field experience. New to carpet cleaning? Start with our Professional Carpet Cleaning Course.

What This Course Is

Most carpet cleaners learn on the job. They develop instincts, build routines, and get good results — most of the time. But instinct has limits. When a cream wool carpet starts browning mid-clean, when a colour run appears on a hand-knotted rug, when wicking keeps returning no matter how many times a customer calls you back — that is where experience alone runs out.

This course closes that gap. It takes what you already know how to do and explains what is actually happening at a chemical, physical, and structural level. Not theory for its own sake — applied science that changes how you assess a job before you touch it, how you make decisions under pressure, and how you protect yourself when things go wrong.

Every module is written for professionals who have cleaned carpet for years. There is no introductory content. No basics. No padding.

Who Is This Course For?

Experienced Carpet Cleaners

Professionals with at least 12 months active field experience who want to understand the science behind what they already do — and perform at a consistently higher level as a result.

Specialists & High-Value Operators

Cleaners taking on high-value rugs, commercial contracts, or restoration work who need a deeper technical foundation before putting expensive or irreplaceable substrates at risk.

Business Owners & Team Leaders

Operators who want to train staff to a documented advanced standard, reduce damage claims, and position their business at the premium end of the carpet cleaning market.

What You Will Learn

+
The polymer chemistry of carpet fibres and exactly why each one fails under specific conditions
+
What is actually happening to soil bonds at each point on the pH scale — not just which product to use
+
Why the standard wicking re-clean protocol makes the problem worse and the correct intervention
+
The chemistry of browning and the precise conditions that trigger it in wool and jute-backed carpets
+
How carpet dyes are fixed to fibre, the exact triggers of colour run, and how to correct it when it starts
+
Advanced stain classification, composite stain sequencing, and the decision tree for unknown substances
+
Psychrometric principles — why airflow direction matters more than the number of dehumidifiers on site
+
How to assess, clean, and protect high-value Persian, silk, and antique rugs without putting them at risk
+
Pre-clean documentation, complaint handling, and the professional indemnity gaps most cleaners never know about
