This focused online course teaches working cleaners how to distinguish removable tobacco smoke film from lasting yellowing, test sensitive finishes, select compatible cleaning methods and explain realistic outcomes to clients.

What you will learn

• Assess nicotine residue, smoke film, yellowing and odour before starting
• Test paint and other surfaces for stability before choosing chemistry
• Control application, agitation and residue recovery on walls and ceilings
• Adapt the method for fixtures, glass, plastics, cupboards, carpets and upholstery
• Recognise when absorbed contamination, coating change or porous materials call for referral, redecoration or replacement
• Inspect, document and hand over the result without promising permanent odour removal

Assessment and certificate

Study six online modules, then complete a 10-question scenario-based assessment. A score of at least 7 out of 10 is required to access the CCMTec Academy course-completion certificate.
